Simon Bolivar House Museum opened its doors for the first time on July 24, 1993, in commemoration of the 210 anniversary of the birth of the Latin American hero.

It is located in a large colonial palace neoclassical style, which belonged in the nineteenth century distinguished exponents of the local aristocracy as in the case of the Marquis of Aguas Claras and the Conde de Villanueva.
Among its main purpose it is to study and promote the life and work of Simon Bolivar and stimulate cultural exchange through the promotion of Latin American culture.

It has several permanent exhibition as the exhibition of historical objects that belonged to the Venezuelan hero, a collection of 41 photographs taken to the main portraits done the same, as well as a collection of contemporary Venezuelan plastic, one of Latin American crafts, among others.
