Visit Havana's walks around the historic center of the city, more populous, rumba and picturesque neighborhood. The streets that comprise a World Heritage Site since 1982, are considered the collection of colonial plazas and sites, most valuable of Havana. It also offers a broad overview of the daily life of a Cuban.
We start with the exterior of the Museum of the Revolution, former Presidential Palace, the very popular Central Park and outside the Capitol (closed for renovations).
We walked down the famous boulevard de Obispo, picturesque pedestrian street full of restaurants and bars always lively with traditional Cuban music, as well as shops and local craft fairs.
Stop at the Hotel Ambos Mundos, where Hemingway came to stay in the 30s, to climb to the splendid terrace that offers one of the best views of Old Havana, the bay and strengths.
We then visited the four most important places of the ancient city, which constitute the heart of the historic center of Havana, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Old Town Square with its old hotels and multicolored stained glass. Visit the Rum Museum, where they will explain the manufacturing process of Havana Club rum, with a tasting at the end of the tour. Price of the museum is not included (7.00 CUC per person)
The Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, important trading center since the seventeenth century and which is one of the oldest churches in the city; Plaza de Armas, also known as the Plaza of the old booksellers, and finally the Plaza de la Catedral, the most consistent and best preserved colonial city urban complex.
A few yards away, the famous bar La Bodeguita del Medio, bizarre and famous bohemian life space of the twentieth century, offers his specialty mojitos (based cocktail Cuban rum, lemon juice, mint, sugar, water gas, ice).
